Skansen of miniatures in Pobiedziska is located on the historical Piast Route, halfway between Gniezno and Poznań, by the national road No. 5. The open-air museum was opened in May 1998, in the jubilee of the 950th anniversary of Pobiedziska, and it is one of the few objects of this type in Poland.
There are 100 miniature buildings of the Piast Trail and Wielkopolska, made in 1:20 scale, with durable materials, and some fragments are made of materials identical to original objects. The basic function of the open-air museum is to show the spatial structure of the Piast Trail in its present and partly historical shape as well as the process of settlement development and the formation of Polish statehood. The objects currently located in the museum include: Palace in Rogalnie, Raczyński Library, Rural Farm Biskupin, Cathedral in Gniezno and Old Market in PoznaŃ.
In 2010, the Skansen Center opened the Center for Contemporary Art - a gallery in the form of a glazed skyscraper, which exhibits miniature works of artists from Poland and other countries.
